Against the backdrop of rapid expansion of the global new energy vehicle industry, lithium battery thermal runaway fires have become a prominent safety concern widely discussed among fire protection practitioners, parking lot operators and fleet management teams. To verify practical fire suppression performance, Suntex Composite Industrial Co., Ltd. teamed up with the Sichuan Fire Research Institute to launch a full-scale emergency drill.
Live drill footage demonstrated that our dedicated EV fire containment blanket could rapidly smother intense flames after fully covering a burning electric vehicle. The blanket cuts off high-temperature heat transfer and inhibits chain thermal runaway of power batteries, securing a critical 60-minute golden window for on-site rescue and drastically reducing risks of casualties and property damage.
Developed and iteratively upgraded in-house at our manufacturing base in Dantu High-Tech Park, Zhenjiang, this fire blanket adopts special explosion-proof coated fiberglass fabric with exceptional thermal resistance: it withstands continuous operating temperatures of 1000°C, endures short-term extreme heat up to 1500°C, and its base material only reaches its melting point at 1700°C.
- Powerful flame suppression
- Long-lasting heat insulation
- Explosion pressure relief
- Reusability
The product is tailor-made to tackle EV battery fires.
Our production workshop maintains full-load operation to fulfill orders from global clients. All raw fabrics undergo automated precision processing and standardized sewing procedures, which greatly boost the blanket’s tensile strength and allow it to withstand severe thermal shock from vehicle combustion. Our complete line of EV fire protection products is exported to markets worldwide and has evolved into a mainstream, high-performance solution for new energy vehicle fire disposal.
